Limbaugh Thinks Michael J. Fox Is Faking The Funk (Parkinson's Disease)

@ 07:17 PM (22 months, 6 days ago)

Just when I think Rush Limbaugh couldn't stoop any lower; that he's already sunk to the bottom of the barrel.  He manages to surprise me by sinking even lower than I think possible for him.

Yesterday on his radio show, Limbaugh accused famed actor and activist Michael J. Fox of faking the effects of Parkinson's Disease.

Since going public with his Parkinson's disease diagnosis years ago, Fox has been an outspoken advocate of stem cell research.  In that vein, he recently cut a campaign ad for Claire McCaskill, Democratic candidate for the Senate in Missouri, touting her support of stem cell research.  In the ad, Fox can be seen clearly suffering the effects of Parkinson's disease, shaking severely.

But Limbaugh baselessly accused Fox of faking it. He said .."in this commercial, he is exaggerating the effects of the disease. He is moving all around and shaking. And it's purely an act. This is the only time I have ever seen Michael J. Fox portray any of the symptoms of the disease he has."

What is it with Republicans who make fun of Democrats with serious health challenges?  Republican commentator Michael Savage once said that the only reason President Bill Clinton survived quadruple heart bypass was because "hell was full."  And now, Rush Limbaugh makes fun of Michael J. Fox suffering the effects of Parkinson's Disease.

I guess that's what happens when you get desparate because you know you don't have the issues on your side.

  1. Limbaugh knows all about the shakes... what was he taking - 500 pills a day? He probably triggered the richter scale when he had to sweat himself clean.

  2. Common sense, common decency, and rational thinking are sorely lacking with Rush and those of his ilk...

  3. Rush Limbaugh is a joke. He's desperate, indeed. I kinda hope he just keeps on keeping on with this constant making an ass of himself. He proves my point to my dad and I don't even have to waste my breath saying it. :???:

  4. Not so fast. Fox himself has admitted that when he testified before Congress previously he DELIBERATELY did not take his medication so he could make a bigger impression. Interestingly, Fox has not denied Limbaugh's claim that Fox either did not take his medication or was acting. So before you lambast Limbaugh, getting some facts straight and realizing that although stricken and diminuative, Fox is no angel and clearly has an agenda. If Limbaugh wasn't on target, Fox and his cronies would have been raising holy hell denying it right away. Instead, Fox and his cronies believe it is fine for him to exaggerate his condition but not fine for him to be called on it. As usual the demlibs go along with this nonsense. From now on, I am fastforwarding when Fox comes on Boston Legal and I have tivoed it. The sneaky jackass. The demlibs are desperate. Foleygate was a blip. The RNC is back and the demlibs hope of a big win in 12 days is over. The demlibs STIll have nothing to offer. The Administration has fostered the best economy in YEARS and the demlibs can't cover it up any more. In addition, the typical demlib is too lazy to make it to the polls even if registered. This is a factual statistics. A higher percentage of registered Republicans actually vote that registered democrats.

  6. As of October 5, the polls were beginning to turn against the demlibs, since them the demlib fortunes have continued to decline. They have 12 more days to continue to decline. The RNC may end up controlling both the House and Senate. Too bad demlibs, you celebrated way too soon. Bummer.
