Worse Than Nixon

@ 08:19 PM (44 months, 13 days ago)

John Dean, who served as White House lawyer during the Nixon Administration, told the Senate Judiciary Committee today that Idiot Son's domestic spying program exceeds the crimes of Richard Nixon.

Dean knows a little something about Presidents and illegal activity.  In 1973, he told Richard Nixon there was a "cancer on the presidency" because of the Watergate scandal.  He told the Judiciary Committee today that Idiot Son should be censured, and possibly impeached.  (No, Mr. Dean.  You are wrong.  Not "possibly" impeached!  Most definitely impeached, and then while we are at it, let's remove this criminal from Office).

He also went on to say that had the Congress censured Richard Nixon, the tragedy of Watergate might have been prevented.  Hopefully the Senate will not sit by while even more serious abuses unfold before it."

But Sen. Russ Feingold, the sponsor of the censure resolution, had the comment of the day! He said "If we in the Congress don't stand up for ourselves and the American people, we become complicit in the lawbreaking."  He's absolutely right.  In effect, if the United States Congress does not exercise its oversight responsibility and hold Bush accountable for his crimes, they become his enabler. And they become criminals, too.
