Tell Us Something We Don't Know, Joe!
"As I read the law I think the president's tapping or surveillance without a warrant was wrong. It was outside the law."
- Sen. Joseph Lieberman, speaking on Face the State on WFSB-TV, about Bush's warrentless domestic spying program.
Well Joe, tell us something we don't know! Of course the spy program is outside the law. It's illegal. The question is, what are you and your colleagues going to do about it?
We are a nation of laws, and we do have remedies when Presidents break the law. And one of those remedies is called impeachment.
Furthermore, Joe, what are you going to do about some of your Republican colleagues who are trying to provide cover for the Idiot Son, by wanting to write his program into law in order to make it legal.
When was the last time Congress retroactively made an illegal program legal?

I think he needs to make up his mind where he stands.
One minute, he's acting Bush Lite, saying we "undermine the President at our peril." What?!
The next minute, he's saying that Idiot Son is engaging in illegal behavior.
I must say, however, that I do have a lot of respect for Lieberman in that during the civil rights movement, he was a freedom fighter. He went into the South to help register Black voters, which was an extremely dangerous thing to do during that time.
But he's become a huge disappointment today.
