The Chimp Says Iraq Withdrawal Not Up To Him

@ 07:54 PM (87 months, 7 days ago)

Well color me surprised! eusa_shifty  During today's press conference, the Chimp says that a withdrawal from Iraq isn't any of his business. It's not in his purvue.  It's for "future Presidents" to decide.

QUESTION: It was: Will there come a day -- and I'm not asking you when; I'm not asking for a timetable -- will there come a day when there will be no more American forces in Iraq?

BUSH: That, of course, is an objective. And that will be decided by future presidents and future governments of Iraq.

Congratulations, ladies and gentlemen.  My fellow Americans, we have made Iraq the 51st state of these United States.

Speaking of being in Iraq for the long haul, ABC News is carrying an Associated Press story about elaborate bases being built in Iraq.

Particularly, at the huge al-Asad base located in Iraq's western desert, our troops have a Burger King, Pizza Hut, and car dealership right at their disposal.  Huh?

A 19-year old airman commented "I think we'll be here forever."

And here's a shocker: the Iraqi people think we'll be there forever as well, which is why we have had to deal with the insurgency and a country on the brink of civil war.

The Iraqi people want their country back.
