Sinclair's Slant
Some current and former employees of Sinclair Broadcasting are now saying publicly, what many of us have suspected all along: Sinclair is a tool for right-wing propoganda.
In an article for GQ magazine, former and current employees of Sinclair say they were subjected to a political litmus test before Sinclair would hire them. They also allege that Sinclair courted powerful Republicans on Capitol Hill who could use their status as legislators to help Sinclair become the largest owner of TV stations in this country.
Moreover, they say the company ordered them to only report "good" news coming out of Iraq, and that when they conducted an interview with George W. Bush, they were ordered to send it to stations and replace the face of the real interviewer, with the face of a local anchor in that market.
