The Guardsman Who Wrote His Own Obituary
CNN.com has the story of James Kinlow, a Georgia National Guardsman who was killed in Iraq.
His story is especially compelling because he wrote his own obituary before going to Iraq. Kinlow learned late last year that he was going to Iraq, and so between Christmas and New Year's, he wrote his own obituary.
It read:
"Mr. James O. Kinlow, 35, of Holt St. died -------- in Iraq."
Sadly, that date has now been filled in: July 24.
